O' Canada

You guessed it James and I took this Saturday and headed to Canada!  If you look on the map, Millinocket is middle ways of the state of Maine.  If you follow Interstate 95 North, you will curve around and cross over into Canada.  So that is what we did.  We weren't sure if they would let us cause we didn't have passports but we had birth certificates and drivers license.  Well they let us go for the day and the American customs even decided we were ok to come back..... (haha fooled them....)  We found a cute little resturaunt/ gas station/ convieniet store/ hardware store/// I am sure there was a few more things you could do there.  Anyway had a great lunch then headed out to find the world's largest ax.  Yep! A-X, ax, like you cut down a tree with.... Ax.  Then we headed back toward the border but made a small detour.  We drove down to Hartland, New Brunswic, Canada.  In Hartland is the world's longest covered bridge.  It was great!!!! Then we headed back to the big US of A!!!  We had another GREAT day!  Have I mentioned we have a great job????? The Lord has blessed us soooooo much.  So check out the pics.  Hope to see everyone soon.

Easter Sunday in South Portland, Maine 2012

Easter Sunday is ALWAYS a big deal for our family.  I remember when we were younger we would get a new outfit and new white shoes and sometimes a little purse... People, that is a BIG DEAL!!!!!  So this past Easter was bitter sweet.  We truly love our job don't get me  wrong but I really missed everyone when this service began.  At this church they baptised 4 people this day and the service was emotional by itself.  So I have a couple of pics and they had one little girl talk at the end, before she was baptised.  It was a really nice day.  I hope yours was as wonderful as ours.

Millinocket Maine April 2012

Well we got to Millinocket and didn't have to work until 1:30pm on the first day so we decieded to check out the joint.... We found that the Discovery Channel had done a couple of seasons of "American Logger".  About the logging industry in Maine.  In the mean time they also build a resturaunt that was really cool.  There are a couple of pics of that.  Then we drove up to Baxter State Park, there is no other way to put it the place is BEAUTIFUL!!!! check out those pics.  I think that was about it for the day then we had to actually work.... who'd a thought.....

Maine here we are!!!!

James and I had a job that got cancelled because they had a transformer go down so they had to shut the plant down for a  week.  So guess who got a week off...hahahah is that funny to anyone else????? I feel like we are on vacation all the time.  Anyway, so we jumped in the truck and drove for  while and stopped at all these little shops and picniced out and fed the seagulls and pigeons.  We had a great day.

Lighthouse and Carousel in Conneticut

So James and I were out wondering around and we found this park that had a huge old fasion carousel and a lighthouse.  It was in a park that is open usually in the summer, and I am sure very busy.  Since we are here in the "off season", we are finding alot of things closed.  Check out the pics.
