Good friends in Madawaska

James and I just got home from dinner and fellowship at Brian and Wendy's house.  We met them at church yesterday and they were gracious enough to invite us to their home for dinner.  We were more than happy to come.  You have met so many wonderful people at churches all over the east coast.  This is the first couple that has been brave enough to invite us home.... hahahah  We had a wonderful time, they have 2 daughters that were at camp and Liam who was there.  Brian's dad was also there and he is a very nice man, we could see where Brian gets his hospitality from.  Oh, yeah we don't want to forget the animals....2 cats and Rookie, the dog.  The whole family is just precious, they represent the Lord very well, with their servants heart.  Chcck out the pics..  Again Wendy, Brian and Liam... thanks so much we are thrilled to have you as our friends.

Around Maine

So this morning James and I got out and was checking out all the garage sales and flea markets here in Madawaska and also in Fort Kent.  We toured the fort and also an old RR station and watering tower.  In the Fort we met 2 very nice young men that work in the summer for the up keep and gift shop for the Fort.  Chance is in the picture and Jackson was the other young man.  They are boy scouts, we had a good time visiting with them.

RETRACTION

I am so sorry Pastor Doug.... it has been pointed out to me that the pastor from the Madawaska Gospel church is Doug...not Joe.  I guess I have watched to many episodes of Judge Joe Brown....I am sorry for getting it wrong.

Also while I am apologizing.... the man I named "Ben" is really Brian.  WOW!, I hope I paid more attention to the sermon.....shame on me.  Again I apologize BRIAN!!!!!!.

Thank you,
TJ

Madawaska Gospel Church

Well we got up early and headed out to the only church in the area that wasn't catholic.  I don't have anything against catholosism, it just isnt' what we like.  Anyway we went to the gospel church and they were so very nice it was like home.  The pastor and his wife visited with us a little after service and another couple Ben and Wendy asked us to come to dinner Monday night at their house.  This was a wonderful invitation and we will put some pics up when we get back.  So here are some pics and short video.  If you ever make it to the top of the US, you gotta have church with Pastor Joe and his wonderful congregation.

North to Madawaska...

So James and I headed out to the top of the United States.  Yep, as far north as you can get and still be in the US.  It is beautiful up here.  Here are some pics to give you an idea.

These signs are all over the places... but we have been in this state 2 times and this one all the way thru it and we have yet to see a real live moose in the wild.  Wish us luck!!!

The Red Barn in Augsta Maine

OK folks, if you are EVER near Augusta, Maine and you want some GREAT FOOD!!!! James and I stumbled onto this cute little joint.  If you are on I-95 S, take exit 113, turn left at the light and go just a short distance.  On the right side of the road is a little red barn called... go figure... The Red Barn.  It has the BEST, food and the service is "Wicked"... hahaha  (You have to check out the sign at the front door.)  The owner and the employees are wonderful.  Obviously James and I enjoyed ourselves.  We passed this food and ice cream place several times and every time they were lined up out the door.  So this morning we were getting off work and it was just opening up.  So we gave it a shot.  It was wonderful.  Check out the pics.

Saying Good bye

I am sure that the girls will remember our week in Boston as long as James and I will.  But it did come to an end.  We took them to the bus station on Monday and off they went.  We love them both.  Until we see you again.  Remember we love you.

Boston Massachusetts

Boston was wonderful, mainly because my daughters came to spend the week.  Savannah and Stefania both came.  We took off and went on a Super Duck ride, for those who don't know what that is, well it is a tour bus that can go into the ocean and the becomes a boat.  It is quite unique.  I saw them in Branson and wanted to try it but never got the chance.  I had a lot of 1st. in Boston.  We all got up early and took off to catch the boat that would take us way out in the ocean to a school of 100 or so dolphins and 4-5 whales.  There was 2 female humpback whales that we followed along side of for a about 20 minutes.  We got several pics of their backs and them blowing.  It is amazing how God created such animals and the home for them to live.  We loved that outing.  Then there was the lobster.  We stopped at this little lunch place and I had lobster for the 1st time in my life.  What better place to try it for your first time then in Boston, Mass.  Well it was an expensive lesson, but one that I assure you I learned well.  I HATE IT....hahah yep, didn't even finish it, Stefania finished it off for me.  I told James that lobster was one of those, "Bucket List" things that we could wipe OFF... I wouldn't be doing that again.  You will see a picture BEFORE, the first bite.  Thankfully Savannah didn't take one after.  We had a great time, and I miss them already.  Enjoy the pics and I wish we could take all that read this blog with us to some of the cool places we have been.  We know that you are praying for us, we can feel it.  Until next time.

Calvary Baptist church in Rhode Island

We ran across this beautiful church in  Rhode Island.  The pipe organ was HUGE and when you look at the pic, notice the organist in the bottom of the pic, all you can see is her head.  The service was wonderful and the pastor's wife was very nice.  We are always thrilled to see God at work and HE is definatly at work in this church.
